Three Things I Learned & Confirmed through our Miscarriage

I know you weren’t expecting something so heavy so soon. This is our reality though and I had to share it with you! Here’s our social media post about our miscarriage and if you continue to read today’s post, you’ll see what I have learned and confirmed these past few days.

  • God’s Presence

I have always been told by my spouse that something has to happen in life for one to realize and recognize their purpose. Their story. This was that moment. This trying time is what really strengthened our marriage and my personal relationship with God. Truly being able to feel His presence at the hospital was what got us both through.

  • My Soulmate

If you know us, personally, you know we were an “on and off” couple in our younger days. I knew that I loved Jay and I knew that he was the one for me but this…our surviving this miscarriage is what has solidified that he is my soulmate! It’s one thing to say that someone is your soulmate but physically feeling it is completely different. I could have never, ever weathered this storm with anyone else! We are so strong together! Nothing can or will ever break our bond.

  • It’s not “all for nothing”

During this tragic situation, I was never mad at God! We never asked , “why us?” Was I confused, in pain, and creating scenarios in my head when I heard the news? Yes! God makes zero mistakes. I really want you guys to hear this when I say that. Everything has been written. I completely related to Job when diving into my scriptures. In Job 42:2 it says, “I know that You can do anything and no plan of Yours can be thwarted.” Thwarted means to prevent someone from accomplishing.

Whether you are dealing with a miscarriage or something on the job, whatever it is, KNOW that it’s not all for nothing! Grow through what you go through!

I find comfort in knowing that our precious son doesn’t have to know pain, sadness, and all of the other negative things this world brings. Instead, he only knows joy and peace because he’s with God! We love you so, so much son!

xo,

(Mama and daddy)
