I get it, guys! We are all experiencing high anxiety right now. With all of the activities being cancelled, people working remotely, and some not working at all; I wanted to share some ideas on things you can do to take your mind off of all of the COVID-19 chatter.
1. Begin your morning with scripture + coffee!
This helps set the tone of your day. I don’t always read a chapter each morning. Sometimes I only read the “verse of the day” or a plan within the Bible app. Either way, it helps! I promise.
2.Get dressed!
Yes! Really. When you look good, you feel good and your productivity increases. You can even have some fun with it and post your work from home outfit of the day! (#wfhootd)
Get your perfect selfie in your full body mirror! (That is one thing I need to put on my list of things to buy!)
3. FaceTime your circle!
With social distancing, we are sure to miss the people that we normally see every day. Call them via FaceTime, Skype, or even Google Duo to check in as well as have that face to face interaction. Have cocktail hour, lunch, or even dinner together so that you don’t go insane missing your circle.
4. Search for remote employment!
Trust me; companies are looking for remote employees now more than ever! Freshen up your resume and send it out! You never know who’s hand it may land in. Be bold! Be confident. Go for it! You can also reach out to B. Carter Solutions; she’s partnered with LinkedIn to help YOU find work!
5. Write it Down!
Regardless of what you are going through, write it down! Whether you’re overjoyed because a brand responded to your pitch or you’re down in the dumps because of this major life change that we are all experiencing. Write it out, sis (or bro)!
I really hope these five things help you to be the best version of you while we are quarantined! Stop filling your head with the news headlines and let’s get to work!
XO,
