Klick & Konnect

Hey, hey babes and happy Saturday! I haven’t dropped content on a Saturday in a while. Glad to be back!

Klick and Konnect isn’t my normal “fashion” or “budget” post. Today, I am asking questions and talking all about my meeting with the dream doll and now friend, Ireana of XOXO, I. Joelle.

Do you have friends on social media that you have never actually met in person and when you do meet them, you simply click? Well, that is exactly what happened with myself and Ireana. I wanted to take a moment to express how important it is to value relationships, so keep going to see what I have to say.

Sometimes, we get lost and lose focus mentally. So many things cloud our decision-making abilities. So many people say “No New friends!” We aren’t sure who is for us or who is against us. There are some people who are for you in your face and giving you the thumbs down as soon as you turn away. Learning to weed out the good and the bad can be very difficult and with the social media outlets, this makes it even harder.

Meeting with Ireana during Charleston Fashion Week was eye-opening. In fact, I was like YES to new friends! I was thrilled to be with a like-minded blogger. Keep it 100% authentic here…most times, women, men, bloggers, and vloggers are not supportive of other women, men, bloggers, or vloggers. It was a relief to see and experience another woman supporting another woman and genuinely happy about it! So, in a sense, this is sort of like a “thank you” to Ireana for being a genuinely, positive individual.

There is a lesson in this post. Stay open-minded. Experience new things and meet new people on the way. I’m so thankful to have learned to appreciate friendships and being present in the moment with people. Having the mindset of networking is awesome, but having the mindset of building relationships is even greater.

I hope that this inspires at least one person to go out, be friendly, meet someone with a genuine approach, and be open to making new konnections!

XO,
